It would appear that the Twitter plugin I use, Tweetmeme, has a slight problem with the update. The tweet counts are not being displayed. Guess that will follow shortly when the developer has caught on & updated it.

Nevertheless, it does appear to correctly post a tweet.

I had not noticed that, due to conflicting plugins, my page menu sidebar has not been displaying as desired.

I have changed some plugins and (I believe) things now look a lot better.

The tree pages are currently undergoing an update, so please do not fret if something is inaccessible of looks wrong!

My website host is experiencing issues at their datacenter(s), which is having a knock-on affect to the performance of this blog.

I am hoping this is not long-term.

Please be patient, and try again if any future browsing experience gets affected.

I have added some features to improve accessibility of the blog on mobile phones & PDAs. This will continue to be an area of development.

In an effort to tidy up, save space, and prepare for future ideas, I have employed the Collapsing Pages plugin.

You will now see a little arrow next to the Surnames page navigation option. Click and the surnames expand out!

Watch out for this use in the future.

Oops!

I wondered why my search box hasn’t been finding anything! I have just installed a wonderful plugin called Search Unleashed, which has enhanced options for different search engines, including the default Wordpress search. I checked the options and nothing was selected!

That will have hurt my market … ouch!

As a followup to my GenealogyWise recommendation, I will be trying to add features which will provide greater links to Facebook and Twitter (notice the new “Share and Enjoy” bar). I have created the relevant accounts to allow this.

Therefore, if you suddenly find this blog breaks, it’s probably because I’ve tried something out which didn’t work!

The relocation to a new host went very well – and was switched very quickly – thanks to plenty of preparation during the week … and I learnt a few things in the process!

I also took the opportunity of tidying some things up, tweaking stuff …. and finally got family tree data online! It’s nothing great, but is everything I have so far and, thanks to Family Historian, is in an easy-to-view format. I do not have a graphical tree up yet, but this is a start, and things will change. I’ve been playing with phpGEDview and GenoPro, but am not completely happy just yet. Who knows, I may stick with the FH format!
