Their story, in verse

I was feeling creative (not my forté), and came up with the following verses, which I felt reflects all our genealogical endeavours.

The kin of old,
Have tales to be told,
And stories long since thought forgotten,
Of Lords and of farmers,
Of cads and of charmers,
And secrets that erstwhile were hidden.

Of crime and injustice,
Of military musters,
Of sacrifice on battlefield,
Of poverty, glory,
History, Their story,
In time their tales will be revealed …
