Text From Source: Sir Edmund Bacon, 2nd Bt. was born circa 1570. He was the son of Sir Nicholas Bacon, 1st Bt. and Anne Butts. He married Philippa Wotton, daughter of Edward Wotton, 1st Baron Wotton of Marley and Hester Puckering. He died on 10 April 1649, without issue. He was buried at Redgrave, Suffolk, England.
Sir Edmund Bacon, 2nd Bt. held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Eye from 1588 to 1589. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Norfolk in 1593. He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Bacon, of Redgrave, co. Suffolk [E., 1611] in November 1624. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Norfolk in 1625.

Text From Source: Philippa Wotton was baptised on 7 June 1576 at Boughton Malherbe, Kent, England. She was the daughter of Edward Wotton, 1st Baron Wotton of Marley and Hester Puckering. She married Sir Edmund Bacon, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Nicholas Bacon, 1st Bt. and Anne Butts.1 She died on 1 October 1626 at age 50. She was buried on 6 October 1626 at Redgrave, Suffolk, England.
Her married name became Bacon.
