He was the son of Sir Nicholas Bacon, 1st Bt. and Anne Butts.1 He married Philippa Wotton, daughter of Edward Wotton, 1st Baron Wotton of Marley and Hester Puckering. He died on 10 April 1649, without issue. He was buried at Redgrave, Suffolk, England. Sir Edmund Bacon, 2nd Bt. held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Eye from 1588 to 1589. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Norfolk in 1593. He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Bacon, of Redgrave, co. Suffolk [E., 1611] in November 1624. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Norfolk in 1625.
