Text From Source: Sir Edmund Bacon, 4th Bt. was born circa 1633. He was the son of Robert Bacon and Catherine Violet. He married Elizabeth Crane, daughter of Sir Robert Crane, 1st and last Bt. and Susan Alington, before May 1650. He died on 12 September 1685, without surviving male issue. He was buried on 14 September 1685 at Redgrave, Suffolk, England. His will was probated in February 1686. Sir Edmund Bacon, 4th Bt. was admitted to Gray's Inn in 1616. He graduated from Clare Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.). He graduated from Clare Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, on 10 July 1627 with a Master of Arts (M.A.). He succeeded to the title of 4th Baronet Bacon, of Redgrave, co. Suffolk [E., 1611] in December 1655. He held the office of Sheriff of Suffolk from 1665 to 1666.1 He had six sons and six other daughters.
